I’ve always wanted to try using a tea infuser, but was hesitant because, first of all, I didn’t have any tea leaves or loose tea, and second, I was pretty sure our little town didn’t carry anything like that.
Well, as chance would have it, I was able to snag a bag of Darjeeling First Flush tea and we were in business!
My daughter told me that we have to boil the water, because if it’s not 200 degrees, it won’t be hot enough to properly steep the tea (I didn’t know that). My coffee maker only produces 175 degree water, so that wasn’t hot enough.
Water boiled, tea opened - but how do you measure it? You use the scoop that comes with these infusers! We are still experimenting, but I am finding that I really like tea this way. I love the infusers - they just make you feel all cozy and old fashioned. One of these days I’m going to use regular tea from a tea bag just to see if it’s the brewing method or the tea type. I have a feeling it’s both.
There are three infusers in this set, so you can choose the one that fits your need. Make sure that you get the lid attached securely, the little clips fit through the little holes, and it just screws on a little bit. We also use the clip on the scoop to keep the tea sealed tight.
While these are a bargain at their current full price - I am so glad that I was able to take advantage of a special promotional price to test these.
