I’ve always wanted to try using a tea infuser, but was hesitant because, first of all, I didn’t have any tea leaves or loose tea, and second, I was pretty sure our little town didn’t carry anything like that.

Well, as chance would have it, I was able to snag a bag of Darjeeling First Flush tea and a set of infusers!

My daughter told me that we have to boil the water, because if it’s not 200 degrees, it won’t be hot enough to properly steep the tea (I didn’t know that).  My coffee maker only produces 175 degree water, so that wasn’t hot enough.

We used about a scoop of tea in each diffuser, and let it steep at least three minutes. I actually forgot about mine, and it ended up steeping for about 30 minutes, so of course it was cold.  I normally don’t like tea after the bag has been in it for so long, but wanted to try it anyway.  I was pleasantly surprised - it was delicious.  I had a second cup after that - a hot one - and it was even better.

I’m completely sold on this Darjeeling tea.  I will be watching for some great sales so I can try other flavors also.   I was so lucky to be chosen to receive a complimentary bag of this delicious Darjeeling Tea to try.
