Everyone likes their car to smell good, and almost everyone I know uses a cellphone or GPS also. This is a great way to make your car smell good, and keep your phone or GPS where you can safely see it while you are driving.
There are these little compartments at the top & bottom where you put the rods with the smelly stuff on them. You attach it to a vent and the air flow scents your vehicle.
For me, the rods were a little too much like teenager perfume or body spray. I have asthma that is triggered by scents, and I wasn’t able to find replacement rods, BUT I was able to make a work around. 
I took regular round toothpicks, cut off the ends to fit the holder, then soaked them in a votive candle holder with just enough Cinnamon Stick Essential Oil to barely cover them. I let them sit that way for about a week until they had absorbed all the essential oil (or it evaporated?). Then I put them in my holder and attached it to the vent in my car. 
Now my car smells like my favorite scent. I’m going to make different ones scented with my favorite oils to have on hand.
