We live in an old house, and sometimes old houses have old odors. Damp basements, shoes in the bottom of closets, animals, cooking odors - you know what I mean. This is by no means an answer for all of those odors, but if you have a small space that needs deodorized, this might work for you.
It’s basically a mesh bag (kind of like cheesecloth) that is filled with bamboo charcoal. Charcoal absorbs odors. The bag of charcoal is placed into a plastic holder that is vented. So the charcoal soaks up the odors, leaving behind fresh air.
A simple answer for a sometimes complex problem. I have mine in my kitchen, and so far the onion odor and left-overs odor hasn’t been as noticeable.
